Food Adulteration

  • It’s an age old problem
  • It means, addition of such unacceptable things to the food materials, which ruin the quality of the food for consumption
  • It results in two disadvantages
    • Consumer pays more money for food of lower quality
    • It can be injurious to health, including death
  • It includes following examples, which is by no means complete

Saw dust, brick powder
