Electrolytes: are electrically charged particles present in cells & tissue fluids
Solutes: Are inorganic or organic substances dissolved in body fluids.
Dispersion medium: is solvent or fluid part of a solution in which solutes are dissolved. In animal body it is water.
Fluid compartments: are physiological partitions of body across which the distribution of solutes are different
