Emulsification: is a physical process of in which dietary lipids are rendered miscible with water in intestines with the help of bile juice.
Gastric juice: is the secretion of gastric gland of stomach and contains hydrochloric acid, pepsinogen and rennin. It is highly acidic in pH.
Bile juice: is secretion synthesized in liver stored in gall bladder and enters GI tract in duodenum through bile duct. Bile helps in digestion absorption of fats.
Pancreatic juice: is secretion of pancreas containing several digestive enzymes for carbohydrates, proteins and lipids and alkaline in pH. It enters GI tract in duodenum.
Intestinal secretion: are secretions of intestinal glands helping in final digestion of carbohydrates and proteins just before their absorption in the portal blood.
