Corporate public relations

The term corporate public relations holds all relationships that affect the corporation as a whole in reaching both the internal and external publics. Corporation communication is sometimes used as a substitute for corporate public relations. But there is a difference between the two. Corporate public relation deals with communication between an organisation and its public i.e both external and internal. Where as corporate communication is any communication that emanates from a company or occurring within it.

Dimensions of Corporate PR

The dimension of PR include

  1. Employees relations- communication between employees of different levels
  2. Share holders relations- communication between the management and those who has share in investment.
  3. Customer relations- communication between service providers and users
  4. Dealers and suppliers relations- communication between management and marketers
  5. Community relations- communication between management and the neighbor hood
  6. Media relations- communication between management and channels of communication
  7. Relations in crisis situations- transparency in communication at the time of calamity or untoward situation.
