Introduction

Energy is essential for the functioning of organisms, populations and ecosystems. The quality of life depends on the environmental impact of energy production and utilization. The sun is the primary energy source in our lives. We use energy for household use, agriculture, production of industrial goods and for running transport.

Definitions

Energy: It is the capacity to do work.
Resource: Anything we get from environment to meet our needs and desires.
Natural resource: Any matter or energy derived from the environment that is used by living things including humans such as air, water, soil, minerals, plants and wild life is called a natural resource.
