Role Of External Wall In A Building

The exterior walls of a house have several roles to play in a building. They define the shape to the building and support the floors, walls, and roof. In addition connect to windows, doors, vents, and other apertures and exterior of the building. Equally important is their role in separating the house’s interior from the outdoors, and to do this effectively they have to block the weather with systems that insulate, shed water, and repel moisture and air infiltration. The choice of materials used to build these walls influence the operating efficiency and overall building performance.
