SOURCES OF INFORMATION

  • There are several sources which can be tapped to get the information on animal husbandry. These sources include institutional sources like State Departments of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Universities/ Animal science institutes of ICAR, Livestock research stations / farms, Milk federations/ unions, Training organizations like KVKs/ TTCs, Biological production units ( Semen, vaccines etc.), Pharmaceutical companies, Veterinary medical representatives, Non Government Organisations, non-institutional sources like Veterinary medical shop keepers, Progressive livestock keepers, Mass media like radio, television, news paper, magazines, journals etc. The Field Veterinarian is the most credible source of information in the villages.
