ENZYMES

  • Enzymes are used for enzymatic wound debridement mainly useful for anaesthetic risk patients needs wound debridement.
  • Enzymatic wound debridement dissolves the wound exudates, coagulum and necrotic debris without directly harming living tissue.
  • It is less expensive than surgical debridement and provides an option for pet owners who are able to change the dressings at home (or) on an outpatient basis.

Trypsin-Balsam of Peru-castor oil

  • The trypsin balsam Peru – castor oil digests necrotic, phylogenic membranes and crusts.
  • The balsam of Peru serves as a capillary bed stimulant that increases circulation to an area.
  • The castor oil improves epithelialization by reducing premature epithelial desiccation and cornification.
  • It also serves as a protective covering and an analgesic. This is best used in the early stages of wound therapy.
