• Acute non-suppurative myocarditis: Note the necrosis of cardiac muscle fibres and intense infiltration of lymphocytes and a few neutrophils

Rabies – Brain

• Non-suppurative encephalitis: Note the perivascular cuffing with lymphocytes. Around ganglion cells microglial cells proliferate and form small nodules called Babes nodules. Cytoplasm of neurons contain acidophilic round or oval inclusions called Negri bodies
