Clinico-pathological changes in downer cow syndrome

CLINICO PATHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN DOWNER COW SYNDROME

  • Serum Ca, P, Mg, Glucose - normal
  • Hematological examination - normal as in recently calved. Neutropenia with left shift
  • Serum CPK increased
  • SGOT increased
  • Moderate ketonuria
  • Proteinuria and brown colour turbid urine in severe cases due to myoglobinuria
  • Low arterial B.P.
  • Abnormal E.C.G.
