DEATH RATE

• It is the total mortality rate for all diseases rather than one specific disease in a population.

Death Rate	=	No. of animals died due to all diseases        —————————————————————————— x 100 Total no. of animals exposed to the diseases
Crude Death Rate (CDR)	=		Number of animals dead within a period ———————————————————————————— x 100 Average population of animals during that period
Age/Breed/Sex/Cause specific Death Rates (A-SDR, B-SDR, S-SDR, C-SDR)	=		Number of death in an age/breed/sex group or due to a specific cause            ——————————————————————————————————————— x 100 Average population of that Age/breed/sex group or of total animals
Foetal Death Rate or Still Birth Rate	=		No. of foetal death              ———————————————————  x 100 No. of live births + Foetal deaths
Foetal Death Ratio (FDR) / Still Birth Ratio	=		Total foetal deaths ————————————— Total live births

Case fatality rate

• It means number of animals died due specific cause.
