  • PPR virus is not a stable virus. PPRV is a heat sensitive virus and destroyed at 56ยบC. It is stable at a pH beween 4.0 to 10.0. However, the virus is killed by alcohol, ether, and detergents as well as by most disinfectants including common disinfectants like phenol, sodium hydroxide). PPRV also survives for a long time in chilled and frozen tissues.
