  • The important high yielding varieties recommended for cultivation under this crop include EC-99249-1 and RRL-85-1. The selection RRL¬85-1 yields 2-3% yellow volatile oil. It has 16-20% fatty oil. 'Standard Bearer' and 'Wright Grove Gaint' are the varieties of celery recommended for cultivation by IARI, New Delhi, for salad purposes.
