  • Agricultural wastes can be considered to include crop after harvest and primary processing, tree residues, organic / plant residues from social forestry, animal excreta and processing left over from the slaughter.
  • Lower and agro-industrial wastes. Thus, agricultural wastes comprise all organic wastes produced and disposed off or used in primary agricultural production.
  • It is estimated that these organic wastes available in India can supply about 7.1, 3.0 and 7.6 mt of N, P2O5 and K2O, respectively.
