Thromboxane is a major cause of glomerular inflammation associated with immune complexes; Low-dose aspirin is given to decrease thromboxane production.

Aspirin decreases platelet aggregation and resultant thromboembolic disease.

Low-dose aspirin (5–10 mg/kg PO q 24–48h)

Enalapril (0.5 mg/kg q12–24h), is recommended in dogs for both its antihypertensive and antiproteinuric effects.
