Role of NGO in Medicinal Plants Cultivation

    NGO and its role in medicinal plants cultivation and Conservation:
    The NGO's are voluntary groups who are involved in social actions. Villages are their operational area and deal with the grossroot problems hence it will be appropriate for them to encourage the cultivation and conservation.

    FRLHT
    It is an NGO operating in Bangalore. FRLHT was founded in 1993 with the aim to revitalize and concerned the Indian Medical Heritage for fuller use of her rich and diverse medicinal plant knowledge for her our needs. To promote their objective they have pioneered a collabora¬tive program with the State Forest Department, local NGO's, local communities and Research Institutes. They have identified 50 conservation sites in the Eastern and Western Ghats and are maintaining these areas under their project conservation are carried out both In situ and exsitu.
