To define hospital waste
To understand the sources of waste generated by health care services
To learn the hazards of hospital waste
To understand methods of hospital waste treatment and disposal techniques

The waste produced during health-care activities is more infectious and injurious. Hence, safe and reliable methods are essential to handle this waste. Inadequate and inappropriate handling may have serious public health consequences and a significant impact on the environment.
