Muscular Tissue and Functions

Muscular tissue consists of highly specialized cells which can undergo process of contraction thereby providing mobility to the organ or the body part. There are three categories of muscles present in the body that are:

Skeletal muscles- present along the skeletal system.
Cardiac muscles
- present in heart.
Smooth muscles
- present in visceral organs.
