Glossary

Stimulus: is a kind of energy (mechanical, chemical, electrical or thermal) capable of causing excitation in a nerve cell.
Response:
is a reaction of an effector organ to the stimulus.
Reflex path:
is the segment of nervous system on which a reflex action is completed.It comprises of receptor, afferent neuron, center, efferent neuron and effector organ.
