For effective functioning, it is necessary to divide the whole year plan into smaller units ex: month wise/ semester wise.
Certain experiences are planned and carried out for children throughout the year, whereas some experiences are planned only at the beginning of the year (when the children enroll newly).
Similarly, experiences differ in their nature as the children advance in age. Projects could be developed month wise and necessary material has to be selected and learning experiences have to be planned related to the project theme.
Weekly Planning: On the basis of programme planned for the month, the teachers plan the activities for the week, even before it commences. She plans the project themes week wise and organizes various activities relating to the project assigned to the week.
Daily planning: It is the duty of the teacher to plan the activities based on the weekly project theme. She has to keep the material ready for the day’s programme.
