Early Childhood Curriculum should be specific enough to provide direction and guidance to teachers about teaching and interacting with children: How do I arrange my classroom? What are appropriate materials for the children in my class? What are the most effective strategies for teaching? How do I guide children’s behavior? How can I work effectively with parents? It should also be flexible enough to allow adaptations to the developmental, cultural, financial and social needs of the children and families served by the programme and to allow continuing incorporation of new ideas from current research in child development and early childhood education. A number of factors influence Curriculum Planning, hence these factors should be considered while planning early childhood curriculum.
