Activities for Physical Development

  1. Activities for proper physical growth
    1. Regular health check-up of the child by the teacher.
    2. Periodical check-up at the Health Centre.
    3. Taking weights and heights of all children every month.
    4. Informing the health status of children to the parents.
  2. Activities for the Co-ordination of the Large Muscles

    1. Providing opportunities to children for participation in individual and group outdoor play.
    2. Organization of activities in accordance with the age level of the children.
    3. Providing opportunities to children to participate in rhythmical exercises and outdoor activities like sand play, water play etc.
    4. Providing opportunities to children to do gardening.
    5. Providing opportunities to children to handle play materials such as sliding board, ladders, swing, jumping single bars, rings etc.
  3. Practical Activities for the Co-ordination of Fine muscles

    1. Threading beads.
    2. Pouring water from one vessel to another.
    3. Cutting in different sizes with the round edged large sized scissors.
    4. Tearing off small paper.
    5. Pasting small papers in certain forms, sizes and threading the needle
    6. Picking up small objects.
    7. Drawing and painting.
    8. Clay modeling.
    9. Classification of different seeds, buttons, small blocks.
    10. Cutting vegetables and peeling potatoes.
