Introduction

The structure of a building is composed of different kinds of materials. About 60-75 percent of the cost of construction is spent on building material. The strength and stability of the building largely depends upon the quality of material used for construction. The knowledge about the strength, durability, weather resistance, appearance, area of applicability, cost and so on of building materials is essential for choosing appropriate construction material.
