For example, a dress shop must have windows that display the full mannequins, thus keeping the display on the human scale. This often allows the merchant to increase the display of shoes, handbags, accessories, and hats as well as general clothing items. A jewelry store display window needs to be at eye level, which allows the eye to focus on the much smaller objects in the display window. Many store owners view the entrance door as an important part of visual appeal as well as market recognition of the store, and will emphasize the style of the door by creating an inviting, welcome, and enticing entry. The door it self is the only one part of the entrance. The designer must also consider lighting and numerous code requirements. These include no steps, the use of non skid flooring materials, sufficiently wide doors for all traffic, and no entrance clutter. Ideally, the entrance doors should allow customers to see at least portion of the interior. However, this may be governed by location, codes, weather, and other factors.
