Flower Arrangement

Lesson 15 :Permanent Flowers

Introduction

A wide variety of permanent flowers are available to the retail florist. The quality and variety of permanent flowers is continually improving and they are frequently requested by customers.

Permanent flowers include silk, paper and dried or preserved flowers. The design principles that guide the construction of fresh flower arrangements also apply to permanent flowers. However, the mechanics involved in arranging permanent flowers are different. Permanent flowers are easier to arrange because they are not perishable and may be manipulated and mechanically secured without concern for wilting.
