Lesson 15 :Permanent Flowers

Paper Flowers

Paper flowers are created from rice paper, parchment and bark fiber paper, which have a high fiber content. They are formed in the flower shape and most are available with wired petals and leaves. The flowers and leaves are attached to a main wire stem, and then wrapped with paper or floral tape. Paper flowers may be pre-dyed before being formed into flowers or airbrushed after the flower has been formed. Paper flowers are also more expensive than molded, plastic stemmed flowers because of the amount of labour required to produce them.
