Lesson 22 : Principles of Designing Interiors for the Visually Impaired

Introduction

For someone who is visually impaired, good interior design demands a lot of thought and care to produce a living environment that is safe, functional and pleasing. Creating such a space does not have to cost a lot. It just requires a little extra thought and consideration. Though blindness is a major problem for a visually impaired person, his other problems such as depression, loneliness etc., should also be considered important and hence formal & informal spaces for interaction should also be given priority.
