Axes and Directional Lines

Using simple geometric equivalents, the larger parts of the figure are basically cylindrical and each part has a central axis. The axes should be understood individually and in relation to the others. With practice, the limitations of movement and the pivot points become immediately apparent. Directional lines should also be established. Two such lines run across the shoulders and across the hips, lying horizontally and parallel to the ground plane.
