The stretch qualities of knit fabrics are used greatly in medical textiles. Medical products like artificial arteries, bandages, casts, and surgical gauze are all made form knit fabric. They may be shaped to form the reinforcing base for use in car interiors, boats and as motor-cycle helmets. Industrial hoses and belts may also be made from knit fabrics. There is a great usage of knit fabrics in industrial sector.
