A fashion consultant is an independent individual or firm hired by fashion producers and retailers to assist them in some phase of their fashion operation. They are reporters and interpreters of the fashion world speaking to the fashion makers and the fashion sellers. There job is to tell the makers what the sellers are doing and vice versa.
