Protein Bound Carbohydrates
After centrifugation, add 5ml of 1N sulfuric acid to the precipitate and close the tube with marble and heat. Place it in an oven at 100oC for 12-14h for hydrolysis. Take 1ml of the hydrolyzed sample in another test tube, add 10ml of anthrone reagent and determine the carbohydrate content, as done for free sugars. |
