12.2.2 Pond maintenance

 FEEDING

Extra care must be exercised to avoid overfeeding in cool weather, and feeding suspended for most of the winter. If the fish are active on a warm day in winter, small feeds will do them no harm. Uneaten food must never be allowed to accumulate in the pond however. As a rough guide during the spring / summer, pond fish should be fed two to four times a day on a good quality flake, pellet or stick foods, offering only enough that can be consumed in a few minutes.
