DEFICIENCY – SCURVY

  • Scurvy in adults: Weakness, bleeding, loosens teeth, swollen joints hemorrhages.
  • Infantile scurvy
    • Anorexia,
    • Listlessness,
    • Leg drawn up to abdomen swelling at ends of long bone.
    • Gums swollen,
    • Dyspnoea,
    • Cyanosis,
    • Convulsions and death if not treated.
    • Delay in wound healing.
