ORGAN BATH

  • It consists of an outer container filled with tap water.
  • Temperature is maintained at 38 ° C with a help of thermostat and a glass-warming coil.
  • The coil lies in the outer bath with one end connected to a central glass vessel and other end to a bottle containing Tyrode solution.
  • The cen­tral glass vessel has an outlet as its lower end, which is fitted to the bottom of the container and is used to drain off the Tyrode solution.
  • A hollow glass tube with a hook at its lower end is clamped to a pillar by a boss head clamp and the glass tube can be lowered into the central vessel containing Tyrode solution.
  • The pillar also carries a writing lever.
  • A stirrer is provided at one end of the outer vessel to maintain uniform temperature.
