EFFECT ON THE HOST - FOWL TICKS
  • Worry bird at night. So sleep of birds get affected
  • Heavy infestation lead to blood loss, resulting into anaemia
  • Egg laying decreases / stops
  • Can cause tick paralysis in ducks
  • Act as vector for Aegyptionella  pullorum and Borrelia anserina (Fowl Spirochaetosis)
