INTRODUCTION 

Passive haemagglutination test is also called as Indirect agglutination. Agglutination is much more sensitive test than precipitation test.The non agglutinating particles can be converted into agglutinating particles by chemically linking soluble antigen to inert particles such as erythrocytes, bacteria or latex particles.Erythrocytes are best particle among these.The test employ coated erythrocytes is called Passive haemagglutination test.
