Milking practice

Teats may be, milked crosswise.

First preference may be given to teats appearing most distented.

Preferably the forequarters together.

Hind quarters together.

The best practice is to milk the highest yielder first in the morning milking and least at the evening milking.

Cows with swellings, lumps, tenderness in udder, sores on the teats or blocked milk channel, suffering from mastitis and producĀing colostrum pretreated with antibiotics or drugs should be milked at the end of milking operation.
