ADSORBANTS

  • Adsorbants are substances which can bind noxious and irritant substances. When applied on the skin, they lessen the irritation and afford protection to the skin.
  • Example:
    • Dusting powder
    • Starch, Zinc oxide, CaCO3
    • Boric acid and talc
    • Collodion
    • Dimethicone
