POPULATION STRUCTURE: YEAR –CLASSES

  • A population has a definite structure with respect to its species composition and/or age-composition of its individuals. Separate populations are indicated by differences in rate of growth during the life span of fish or during a particular part of it such as early stages, and by differences in the years of periodic abundance and scarcity.
