DRUG ADMINISTRATION BY USING IMPORTANT ROUTES

• Select drugs that do not do any harm to this mega-herbivore.
• All drugs to be given to the elephants should be administered in the same recommended doses per kilogram of body weight as those used in horses and cattle.
• However, factors like age, clinical condition, body status, weight and potential side effects of the drugs are to be taken care of always as is the case with any other wild animal species.
