Cut Order

A cut order is an authorization to cut a given amount of fabric for a style, made from one or more types of fabric. The cut order planning process is a dynamic one. The function must respond to the ever-changing status of many critical factors such as sales, inventory levels, raw materials, and availability of labor and equipment. The variety of sizes, styles, fabrics, and colors induces significant complexity into the problem.
