12.1.11.Slip additives
Thin films particularly those with smooth surfaces tend to drag when being pulled over metal surfaces such as a forming plate. Where drag is likely to be a problem, slip additives are incorporated into the resin. Slip additives act as external lubricants and the material normally used slip additives are fatty amides.
