Unit 14 - Glass containers and Closures
14.1.13.6.Centre pressure caps
Centre pressure caps can be reduced in diameter by pressing on the perimeter, thus causing a series of lugs to grip the underside of the ring on the glass finish to make the initial seal. In doing this a slight done is formed in the centre. Pressure on this dome causes the lugs to splay out clear of the glass ring and the cap just lifts off.
