11.1.10 Phenotypic value

The value observed when a character is measured on an individual is that phenotypic value of the individual. The mean, variance and covariance are based on the phenotypic value of the character.

where, P is the phenotypic value,

G is the genotypic value and

E is the environmental deviation.
