14.1.3.Domesticated farmed species

Fishes reared in captivity for human food, including rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus), salmonids, Chinese and Indian major carps (Cyprinidae), tilapias (Cichlidae) and sturgeons (Acipenseridae), are exploited captives. Some of these do have variants, such as albino strains, that would qualify them as domesticated.
