Alternaria blight of grapes
Causal Organism: Alternaria vitis Cavara.
Characteristic symptom of the disease is the appearance of patches mostly along the margin of the leaves. In the initial stage, minute, yellow spots appear on the upper surface of leaves. These spots later enlarge and form brownish spots with concentric rings in them. In severe cases of attack, the leaves become dry defoliat. |
