Effects of deficiency

  1. Vitamin B6 deficiency produces degeneration of the nerves, leading to the development of epileptic form of fits

  2. Vitamin B6 deficiency produces microcytic anaemia in animals.

Symptoms of vitamin B6 deficiency include anemia, loss of appetite. irritability/depression, nausea, abdominal pain, fatigue, insomnia and reduced resistance to infection.
