Marketing concepts

Marketing is an ancient art, practiced in one form or the other, since the days of Adam and Eve. Marketing is a process or a course of business action.

The marketing concept is a philosophy, an attitude, or a course of business thinking. It is all about matching a company’s capabilities with the wants of customers.

MARKETING CONCEPT is based on three fundamental beliefs
  • Planning customer oriented policies and operations
  • A goal of profitable sales volume by a firm
  • Activities of a firm should be organizationally integrated and coordinated to achieve the goal
  • To reach the goal, all activities like production, engineering finance and marketing must be devoted for determining the needs of customer and the ways and means to satisfy those needs.
