Fashion in News Media

Fashion is news, and the news media cover it, both in editorial treatments and in paid advertising messages. This statement applies not only to newspapers and magazines but also to broadcast media. Thus, a vital means of communication between the in­dustry and the consumer, and between related parts of the industry, is activated in the daily newspapers, news magazines, women's and men's magazines, specialized fash­ion publications, those segments of the trade press that affect the fashion business, ra­dio, and television. The impact is enormous.
