Merits and demerits
The selection criteria of a proper form or type of business unit or organization are crucial for the success of an enterprise. Every entrepreneur has to decide at the onset, about the type of organization, which he plans to select for his enterprise. This decision is by and large influenced by the socio-cultural-financial-industrial environment and many other factors. The chief types of enterprises from ownership view point are:

1. Individual enterprises

2. Collective enterprises
